Display issue with the forum, and Profile editing
Display issue with the forum, and Profile editing
Hi everyone,
I have not posted on this forum for a long time. I am trying to update my profile but there are issues with the forum displaying properly. I use a Mc, but the forum does not display properly on Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. The display issues are slightly different for each browser, but with all of them I am unable to change my profile. Each time I submit a change, it comes back with "You must fill in the required fields." It dies not specify which one is missing, but the only one I can see which I have not filled in is which sex I am. Rather strange it should be required, but anyway, each bowser merely has written 'select', or 'select select', but no box to tick or any way to actually select, not even the writing 'male/female'. Any tips? Or perhaps a moderator can fill that part in for me, if that will solve the issue?
Thank you!
Justin

Re: Display issue with the forum, and Profile editing
Another problem is replying. I have tried on both Firefox (which has the worst display issues, for example all the green link title at the top are written twice) and on Google Chrome to use the 'quick reply' function but the following buttons do not work: preview and spelling; normal preview; submit.
There is therefore no way to reply without instead choosing the 'reply with quote' option.
Is this a Mac issue? Anyone else having problems?
(Another issue is all along the left side of the page of the forum index, it is written in each section "no new posts'. Since I have not been on the forum for ... perhaps over a year, this is evidently not true. Hoping sharing these details might be useful!)

Hello Justin,
It's nice to see you here again.
About your issue with Profile editing : you're right, some fields seems now to be required (birthdate and sex : they're now followed by an asterisk). I have however set them as optional in the forum admin panel. I am inquiring from our host Xooit, I find it quite annoying to require the date of birth as we encourage members to register under their real names.
About other issues : I use a Mac (quite old Macbook), Mac OS 10.8.5, tested with Safari, Chrome and Firefox, and don't have any problem. No problem either if I register under your name. So it's not a Mac or a Forum issue, probably comes from your computer (update needed ?) Anyone else meeting Justin's display issues ?
