Hanko Question
Can anyone help me with the Hanko on a Shakuhatchi that I bought in Japan. There is another inscription at the backside, between holes 1 and 2 that I would like to understand.
(see attachments)

Thanks,

Hi NNanda,

Welcome here on the forum. Maybe will you find what you seek for in this database Arrow https://docs.google.com/document/d/1j-T3_IT80dqn8gWu8xf13SymBltAsSXDEj1ZpB0tMRw/edit

If not, someone can be of service here, I'm sure!

Did you introduce yourself in the Teahouse? It would be a beginning Mr. Green

Enjoy your new shakuhachi

Hi Nicolas,
I am new to the site and will take your advice and introduce myself at the Teahouse. I looked at the database and don't find anything that looks like this Hanko. Hopefully someone here can help and also explain what the other inscriptions are.

Thanks,
Nancy

P.S.: What is that incredible instrument in your photo? Is it some type of digeridoo?

Seika.

To be more specific.... Kitahara Seika. Top photo reads 'Seika', and to the right is written 'Tozan cho'. The bottom photo reads 'Seikado'.

It's the best place to find help, someone may have the same kanjis on his flute, who knows?

On the photo what you see is a german pioneer (I believe) holding a pipe shape trunk.
