First Saturday March shakuhachi workshop and flute circle.
The Phoenix Shakuhachi Friends (Phoenix Arizona USA) will have our monthly workshop and flute circle at the Scottsdale Neighborhood Arts Place.
All levels of players are welcome, even if you've never played a Shakuhachi you're welcome to attend. We have loner practice flutes. Shakuhachi topics we might cover are basic technique, notation, history/theory extended techniques and specific pieces from the classical repertoire. Topics we'll work on depends on who attends. For those who already play, there will be time for you to show off and play whatever you like at the end.
There is a $5 charge that goes 100% to cover the use of our workshop space. If you think you might attend please contact me.
