Prague Shakuhachi Festival 2014
Prague Shakuhachi Festival 2014
Hi,
I would like to invite you to our festival. This year we offer a very rich diverse program of concerts, masterclasses and lectures. Our program focuses on the most traditional shakuhachi music as well as on the cutting edge contemporary performances and compositions.
Among the many of our distinguished guests are such famous figures as Fujiwara Dozan, one of the greatest contemporary Tozan-ryu players, koto virtuoso Naoko Kikuchi, sitarist Amit Chatterjee, Slovakian master of the fujara Dušan Holík and many others.
Beginner courses and masterclasses of the shakuhachi, koto, shamisen and fujara are all led by some of the best players of the respective instruments.
Also, we offer a program of stipendia for students who wouldn't be able to come otherwise.
The dates are 22-26 of August.

Kind regards,
Marek
