Can someone identify this flute?
Found this little friend at a yard sale; sounds nice, was cheap so I take it with me. The first hole was closed with a adhesive plaster (I guess because it's difficult for the fingers to close this hole).
So anyone got a Idea what I was buying there? Very Happy

Sorry Peter, I can't. Confused
Don't give up. Nomally it is the last key on the ring which opens the door. (Paulo Coelho).

Looks like a misused shinobue. The plastered hole was the blowing hole. Move the plaster to the labium (english??) close the flute end at the end where the blowing hole is and try to blow sideways.

Shinobue misused for a recorder.

No. It can't be a Dizi. A Dizi has a blowing edge.

I want to correct me. A shinobue has 7 tone holes. A Bansuri has 6. After counting i vote for a misused Bansuri.

Thank you all! Smile
After some research I'm with lowblow; it can be blown when I close the flute at the end and the sound is not bad. Well, it looks nice so it will find it's place between my other flutes (some songs that I play on my NAF fit for this small one).
