You might also find a few helpful techniques in a few of Yozan's videos here: https://www.youtube.com/user/yozanhikichi/videos - they go by quickly but yield good info. I can only laugh at how it takes me an hour to do something he does in 30 seconds. Yozan is a fine maker... see his work at http://www.yozan-hikichi.co.jp/
