I'm french guy who leave near Lyon ...relatively young in shakuhachi communauty: i'ved been playing until one year but:
i'm professional wind instrument ( consider as master in chromatic and diatonique harp and clarinet)and also playing some strange instrument : Chinèse Hullusi, Laos jew'sharp, Roman Caval etc...)
i'm use to study différent countrys traditions (like Turkish music, Manouche styles's etc...) and compose musics mixed between traditional and jazz... i forgot: i'm jazz player and composer Laughing

so i'm now felt in love with that flute:i'ved made stages with Daniel Lifermann, Sensei Fukuda Teruhisa, Sensei Tadashi Tajima...

Bienvenue Jean-Luc ! Content de voir un musicien aussi polyvalent parmi nous. Peut-être aurons-nous l'occasion de nous rencontrer lors d'un futur stage de Daniel... Le forum est multilingue, donc n'hésite pas à poster en français !

I very much like the Au Fond Du Bol video on the first myspace link you posted. Both audio and visually, that's brilliant performance!

[size=16]Thanks Charles,

this tune have a biutifull history: i was contacted to composed a program for the "East European tour" of "les percussions de Tréffort".this is wonderful exemple of artistic work between handicap peaple and professionals musicians and composer.
So they had biutiful "singing porcelaine bowl" that they don't used...i tryed each of them and writte this mélody i arranged it for the band you see on the vidéo. This one had been done by National Polonase TV: that's why pictures are good... i supposed!i'm glad you liked it: the text i'ved composed is a little bit sad...for the death of a friend
peahaps it's one of the magic characteritic of art: make good thing with sadness...

have a good life!

Merci Kiku...
Laughing

Hi, my name is Cristian, I am romanian, 29, doctoral student in philosophy. I play as amateur different flutes: blockflote, shepard flute, caval, and suling. I want to attempt to build my first nonroot bamboo shakuhachi, as I recently discovered a bamboo store. My experience with wood (i know bamboo is not wood) is in bow building, as my other hobby is archery.
