Very, very nice, Rodrigo! I love the duet arrangement, especially in the final minute or two, where the overlaps are more prominent... beautiful.
Hello Kiku, Thank you very much!
This piece its recorded at my Studio in my countryside house in Mallorca Island.
Justin was almost 1 week with us, we performed togheter and work in the studio.
Shika no Tone its one of my favorite pieces to play.
He told me he had a nice time in Shakuhachi Summer school, this year.
Wishing to be there next year!

Rodrigo, it was a lovely time to spend together wasn't it! Thanks so much for your hospitality. It has been many years since we studied together in Chichibu!
Thank Derek. In arranging I tried to keep the natural contrast between our styles as much as possible through most of the piece. The end parts I kept more strictly to the style we play in Araki-ha, as I love the effect it gives with the rhythm and dynamics between the two interwoven parts.
Having once studied together, I really enjoyed this experience of playing together again as our styles have both gone in different directions. I also like the contrast between Rodrigo's jinuri and my jinashi. Rodrigo, I look forward to our next chance to play together...
