An improv on "Itsuki No Komoriuta"

Good sounds. I don't know the song, so it's hard to tell where the song ends and the improv begins, which is not a bad thing.

Thanks Brian and Jeff!!!... It's fun once in a while to turn on a mic at home and share our sounds... Different feel than "professional" recordings. I certainly would love to hear your offerings!

Wow... beautiful piece. I've never heard it before. I was impressed though, not only by the quality of the playing, but the quality of the recording, which really seemed to capture all the little echoes and reverbs that make you feel like you're sitting next to someone playing, rather than listening to a recording.

Matt... I record with three mics... two overheads and a closer one (foot and a half away)... and then I mix them with a little touch of reverb on the center mic, so it's a pretty raw mix. I also love that feeling of hearing the instrument live, rather than some grandiose new age reberv temple... I am a bit of a "fundamentalist" when it come to mixing.
I have a friend visiting from New York that is an amazing Tuvan style singer! It sounds incredible with Shakuhachi!... I'll try to get something down before he leaves.
