A beautiful kinko hanko
You have 4 hours to bid on it! I don't like the seller, but ...

Do you know more about the one that's in your shop? Yamazaki Chikuin is a great maker, but John says he doesn't think that's his hanko.
The flute has arrived in Tasmania.
But that doesn't matter because I am in Melbourne. I'll play it in a few days.
I asked my wife to open it and give her impression. She was irritated. The only thing I could get out of her was that it is "thick".

OK Guys, the verdict is in!
It's a very nice big bore, big hole, semi jinashi 1.8 pitched around A=443. Aside from a few chips in the utaguchi and some gunk in the joint seems to be in original condition. Three hanko.
From what I can remember of my previous Yamazaki Chikuin 1.8 (in Perry's picture) it has the same colour of urushi (rust) and the same flat tsu. Perry maybe you can verify those qualities? I haven't seen that flute in years. It definitely has the same unstable ro that flute features.
So the holy grail has been achieved, getting a killer 1.8 on eBay for peanuts. Thanks to X and Perry guys I owe you a Bombay Sapphire martini in these dimensions in the future:
