Two Dewdrops
Two Dewdrops

It was rainy day when my 15 years old little sister took this photo. It's an inspiring one,you have to admit.
The two dewdrops were just standing there, waiting for a gentle breeze to take 'em away...
Later, when i saw this photo i thought ,"This is the way i have to blow into my flute; soft, just like those perfect shaped liquid spheres, and gentle ,just like the breeze they're waiting for to start their journey..
Have a creative week,Chris...
Very nice and poetic thought!
I am sure if you continue playing and being gentle like these two drops and the breeze - the bamboo will show you the way!

I love your thoughts about this photo Chris. I too aspire to play like these delicate yet strong dewdrops.
Thank you very much Erin...I would like to hear an improvisation from u on the photo...:-D (20 seconds would be enough)
Chris, that's an interesting invitation.....let me see what I come up with....might take a little while but I really love the idea of recording a little improv based on this photo.
I'll be in touch.

I've been working on an idea of a book for inspiring playing shakuhachi. It would be filled mostly with pictures just like yours Chris and there would be an occasional short quote about the beauty of playing shakuhachi.
