Four Legendary Shakuhachi Players
Haaaaa Tsugaru Shamisen, the theme of my first work for Master Degree of Ethnomusicology :p.
What a marvelous music, 津軽三味線 >_< !!!

Great field, ethnomusicology. I wish I had been more academically capable to have followed a real discipline like that in college. Particularly that field.
My teacher Bill Shozan Schultz was in the Ethnomusicology Dept. at UCLA. If you ever get to meet him, perhaps the the 2012 WSF in Kyoto, you can trade stories and sarcasms about your common academic discipline.
I love Tsugaru shamisen music, particularly the older stuff like Takahashi Chikusan. His shakuhachi playing was really nice, simple Aomori min'yo style. Very satisfying.
