thank you very much, its just another school among others, but because i am also a kenjutsu and aikido practicioner, the term jiki (en. direct) has attracted my interest. for example jiki den ryu and jiki da ho kenjutsu doctrines.
anyway have you heard or known any other greek person playing the shakuhachi? maybe i will need some help down (or up...!) here.
thank you

Alexaiva, I know my teacher Gunnar Jinmei Linder has a Greek student (by Skype). If you'd like to contact him, Gunnar-sensei can probably supply the information. You'll reach Gunnar at info(at)nipponicom.com.

Hi Alexavia

So far I know 2 players in Greece.
I can get you in contact with both of them as they have both been my students, including the one who is now learning from Jjinmei.
In Europe there is as far as I know one shihan in jikisho-ryu. His name is Dieter Nanz and is living in Genevar, Switaerland. I can also put you in contact with Dieter if you wish. He was the first student I had. Smile

In Jikishou ryu, the kanji are:

直簫

直 (Jiki) meaning frank, honest, straightaway, repair

簫 (Shou) meaning flute (Xiao in Chinese)

The only reason I know this now is that I'd never heard of Jikishou ryu before and had to do a little research!
