Misty Mountain Cold Notation
Just played it. Works fine for me
That scene was my favorite in the entire film. Unexpected and deep. I was really hoping that a flute was going to appear in the hands of one of the Dwarves. It would've made sense since they were depicted as being great craftsmen.
Thanks Chuck!

Thank you for the score !
Being a novice in Shakuhachi, I would like to have some precision:
- The small horizontal lines next to notes, mark the beat, that's right ?
- When there is a cross next to a note, it is that it is a # (for example a C #)?
- The horizontal lines under certain notes indicate that it is necessary to take its breath?
- I have no idea of the meaning of the "O"?
- When there is the symbol Kan, the notes which follow are all in this register, until we see the symbol Otsu?
Thank you.

Awesome, thank you Chuck. That was my favourite scene in the whole film too! Closely followed by Thorin striding off the tree.
I'm gonna try and convince the guitarist in my band to do a duet of this with shakuhachi and acoustic guitar, would you mind if I use your notation? If we stick it on YouTube I'll definitely give you the credit!

That's pretty cool, Chuck; I especially liked that scene in the film as well. Will definitely try to play it.
I found the answers to the questions that I had in the book that I have just received, but I have always the question of the "O".
Could anybody say to me what means the sign "O" in a score for Shakuhachi?
Thank you.

• En notation Kinko : un silence dont la longueur dépend des marques de pulsation (les petits traits omote et ura) ;
• En notation Tozan : un soupir (silence d'une noire).
